Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to common questions about building with Kingdom Construction.
Can I make changes during the build?
Being flexible is one of our Kingdom Guarantees. Changes are possible, but they can affect timelines and costs. If something needs to change, we’ll talk you through the impact (especially around consents) and options for moving forward. We want the final product to be a home you and your family enjoy living in.
Should I allow for a budget overrun when building?
It’s wise to have a contingency in your budget, especially for unexpected site conditions or changes during the build. We can also help you plan for this upfront, so you have a realistic buffer in place from the start. Our goal is to minimise surprises and keep you in control of costs throughout the project.
How much does it cost to build a new home?
The cost of building a home can vary depending on size, design, materials, and site conditions. As a rough guide, most builds fall within a range, but we provide a detailed estimate once we assess your section, plans and requirements.
Do you help with design and consents?
Yes—we can guide you through the full process, from initial concept and design through to council consents. We work with trusted designers and handle the coordination so you don’t have to juggle multiple people. We’re also especially strong in planning kitchens and bathrooms, helping you create spaces that are not just great looking, but practical and efficient for everyday living.
How involved do I need to be during the build?
That’s up to you. Some clients like to be hands-on, while others prefer us to manage everything. We understand that building can feel stressful—but because we do this every day, we’re able to guide the process, keep things on track, and take that pressure off you. You’ll always be kept in the loop, without feeling overwhelmed.
